The Ecology Campus Network Invites You to Submit Your Articles, Blog Posts and Research Papers for Publishing
The Ecology Campus Network is a collaborative community of readers, writers, editors, link submitters, photographers, artists, filmmakers, activists and volunteers. We invite your participation!
Article & Blog Post Submissions
We are seeking well-written, creative, perceptive, intelligent, forward-thinking, factual and insightful student reporting, information, commentary, and investigation for The Ecology Campus Network.
This is a wonderful opportunity to have your work published in a professional environment, and good for your resume!
We encourage your submission of environmentally themed articles, posts, photography, artwork, and editorial cartoons. We accept original and previously published work created by you on all environmental topics. We retain non-exclusive rights to publish your work on The Ecology Campus Network and www.ecology.com.
Your article or post might be about an environmental campus initiative, the work of your environmental club, reporting or opinion on a current event, or a thought provoking piece about the day’s environmental dynamics. It might also be a research paper on an environmental topic that you have written for class.
By submitting, you agree that you are the author, or that you have secured any permissions necessary for publication. You also agree that you will be responsible for any costs incurred if The Ecology Campus Network is sued because you copied copyrighted material without permission.
The Ecology Campus Network does not publish all submitted material. Please familiarize yourself with our work on The Ecology Campus Network and www.ecology.com, to understand what we’re looking for.
After being reviewed by our editors, your submission will either be accepted to publish or rejected. You will receive an email notice either way. A rejection notice may contain suggestions on how to adjust the article to suit the parameters of ECN in the hopes you might resubmit. If your piece is accepted, we will publish it on our website and it may also be featured in our newsletter. We may not publish it right away, so be patient.
Please submit your piece with your name, the school you are attending, and a photo of yourself. Any photos to accompany your article must be taken by you, and have signed talent releases, if there are recognizable people in them.
If you submit a number of articles we choose to publish, you may be invited to become a regular student contributor or editor. You might even be selected to author your own regular column on The Ecology Campus Network.
We also are interested in Links to articles on other sites for consideration in our weekly news Roundup, or your favorite Environmental Site to add to our Resource Links or Blog Roll.
